Laptops were distributed to hundreds of students under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program at Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences (LUAWMS) on 19 January 2026.
Parliamentary Secretary for Law, Tourism and Culture, Mir Zareen Khan Magsi, attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he said that the provision of laptops is a vital step towards equipping youth with modern digital skills.
Mir Zareen Khan Magsi urged students to fully utilize these facilities and focus on education, research and innovation so that they may contribute effectively to national development.
In his address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Malik Tareen stated that thousands of male and female students of LUAWMS have benefited from laptops under the Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme. He termed the initiative as far-reaching and essential for strengthening the education system and preparing students according to modern requirements.
The ceremony was attended by Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Illahi Bakhsh Marghzani, Registrar Dr. Balach Rasheed, Deans, Directors, faculty members, administrative staff and regional dignitaries.
