INTRODUCTION

Department of Humanities was established in faculty of Languages and Literature to Provide Faculty for Islamic learning and Pak Studies compulsory courses in all undergraduate programs. Beside to teach supporting subjects, the Department of Humanities introduced BS Islamic Studies 4 year’s degree program to provide opportunity of reading and understanding the original text of the Holy Quran and Hadith with basics Islamic Sciences such as Al-Fifqh, Muslim History, Arabic Grammar, Islamic Philosophy, Islamic Economics, Political and Social Thoughts of Islam.

The teaching staff of Islamic Studies is fully vigilant regarding the educational and professional challenges the world is facing today and training the students to work in a complex, rapidly changing and culturally diverse environment at the national and international level.

MISSION

The mission of this department is to offer awareness of political history, ideology, and theoretical orientation of political studies, and to provide the knowledge of Quran and Hadith in such a way that the students can understand the applied aspect of Islamic teachings and utilize their abilities according to the requirements of modern times by ensuring the core values of critical thinking, autonomy of the learners, and gender diversity.

VISION

This department strives to provide professional skills and knowledge to the undergraduate students compatible to the 21st century demands i.e. the demands of employability, and socio-political awareness through the teachings of Islam and strengthening the ideology of Pakistan with Islamic values.
