Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences (LUAWMS), Uthal, through its Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan, organized a Women Food Gala and Meena Bazaar on 04 December 2025 to promote women-led startups, home-based businesses and entrepreneurship.
The event was formally inaugurated by Ms. Saira Atta, Secretary Women Development Department, Government of Balochistan, accompanied by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Malik Tareen, Registrar Dr. Balach Rasheed, State Bank Chief Manager Mr. Mudassir Ahmad, Director ORIC Dr. Javid Meraj, Additional Deputy Commissioner Lasbela Mr. Siraj Ahmed Baloch and other distinguished guests.
Representatives of the State Bank highlighted the banking sector’s commitment to inclusive finance and women-friendly services, while women from different areas of Lasbela set up stalls featuring food items, handicrafts and small business products that were warmly appreciated by visitors and dignitaries.
