The First Institute of Oceanography (FIO), Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR), China, and Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences (LUAWMS), Pakistan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Qingdao to establish a long-term partnership in marine science, marine engineering, research, and capacity building.
The LUAWMS delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Abdul Malik, Vice Chancellor, and included Dr. Balach Rasheed (Registrar), Dr. Ahmed Nawaz, and Dr. Muhsan Ali Kalhoro. The delegation was warmly received by Prof. Wei Zexun, Director of FIO, along with senior scientists and representatives from the UNESCO/IOC Ocean Data and Information Network (ODC) Centre, DCC-OCC Centre, and the Ocean Science Frontiers (OSF) Program Office.
