Capacity Needs Assessment Conducted at LUAWMS CoE for Agribusiness

Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences (LUAWMS) hosted a focused Institution-Based Capacity Needs Assessment (CNA) session at the Center of Excellence (CoE) for Agribusiness. The assessment aimed to evaluate institutional capacity, identify development priorities, and support future planning aligned with human capacity development objectives.

The session included self-assessment exercises, facility observations, and key discussions with university stakeholders. Participants contributed valuable insights regarding institutional structures, resources, and challenges, contributing to a collaborative environment for future improvement.

A presentation on human capacity development interventions was also shared by international partners, encouraging dialogue around sustainable academic and operational capacity building.

Following the assessment session, the GIZ team held a meeting with the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Abdul Malik Tareen. The discussion focused on strategic collaboration, institutional development, and upcoming support initiatives aligned with GIZ’s ongoing technical cooperation programs.

This activity reflects LUAWMS’s commitment to continuous improvement, quality enhancement, and meaningful engagement with development partners to strengthen its institutional performance and service delivery.
