Review Conducted on Academic Quality and Postgraduate Programs
A delegation comprising Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq, Director QEC, Textile Institute of Pakistan, Karachi, and Ms. Sheema Haider, Director QEC, Indus University, Karachi, visited the Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences (LUAWMS), Uthal, and held a meeting with Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Malik Tareen.
The meeting was also attended by Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Ellahi Bakhsh Marghzani, Registrar Professor Dr. Ahmed Nawaz Khosa, and Dr. Balach Rasheed, Director QEC, LUAWMS. During the visit, the delegation held discussions with the Quality Enhancement Cell and departmental heads to review the performance of postgraduate programs and institutional quality processes.
The postgraduate programs at LUAWMS were commended for offering students opportunities for innovative research, critical thinking, and professional development. The programs provide a rigorous educational experience enriched with academic networking and research-based learning.
The delegation also evaluated departmental performance, identified areas for improvement, and provided recommendations to further enhance academic standards. The visit emphasized the importance of regular institutional review in fostering a culture of quality and continuous development.
