A delegation from the National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council (NAEAC), led by Secretary Dr. Abdul Ghaffar and accompanied by Dr. Manzoor Ahmed and other senior officials, visited Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences (LUAWMS).
During the visit, the delegation held a formal meeting with Dr. Taimur Khan Qambrani, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, along with faculty members and all Heads of Departments. Dr. Qambrani delivered a detailed presentation, highlighting the university’s academic framework, the strategic vision of the Faculty of Agriculture, and ongoing academic and research initiatives.
The primary purpose of the NAEAC visit was to assess the quality of various agriculture-related degree programs offered by LUAWMS. The delegation aimed to review the academic standards and infrastructure, and to provide constructive recommendations for continuous enhancement in alignment with national accreditation benchmarks.
The delegation toured departmental offices, laboratories, and classrooms to evaluate teaching and research resources. They examined the functionality of laboratories, availability of instructional equipment, and overall learning environment provided to students.
In addition to meetings with faculty, the delegation conducted an interactive session with students to gather feedback on academic experiences, classroom engagement, and student support services.
Secretary Dr. Abdul Ghaffar and the delegation also visited other major sections of the university, including academic faculties, the central library, health center, expo center, and student hostels. They received briefings from relevant department heads and administrative staff on operations and student services.
The delegation expressed satisfaction with the facilities, academic environment, and institutional commitment to quality education. The NAEAC representatives acknowledged the efforts of LUAWMS leadership in advancing agricultural education and promoting academic excellence.
