Laptop Distribution Ceremony Under PM's Scheme Phase III

Laptop distribution ceremony was held at Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water, and Marine Sciences (LUAWMS) under the Prime Minister's Laptop Scheme Phase III. Mir Zareen Khan Magsi, Member of the Provincial Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary for Law, Parliamentary Affairs, Tourism, and Culture, Balochistan graced the occasion as chief guest. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Malik Tareen, along with Mir Zareen Khan Magsi, distributed laptops to around 100 boys and girls students hailing from various departments who were selected on merit by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

The ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including Dr. Illahi Bakhsh Marghzani (Pro Vice Chancellor), Professor Dr. Ahmed Nawaz Khosa (Registrar), Deans of faculties, Directors, Deputy Commissioner District Lasbela Ms. Humira Baloch, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Siraj Ahmed Baloch, SSP Lasbela Mr. Naveed Alam, and Vice Chairman District Council Lasbela Sardar Farooq Sheikh.

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Malik Tareen expressed his gratitude to Nawabzada Mir Zareen Khan Magsi for his support in making LUAWMS a part of the Prime Minister's Laptop Scheme Phase III. He also acknowledged the efforts of Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan in facilitating this initiative. The Vice Chancellor urged the students to use their laptops for academic and research purposes to meet modern educational demands. He emphasized the university's commitment to providing students with all possible facilities to enhance their focus on education.

Chief Guest Nawabzada Mir Zareen Khan Magsi highlighted the immense potential of Balochistan's youth, calling them the future of the province. He stressed the importance of education in national development and encouraged students to utilize their laptops for research and technological advancement purposes. He further announced a cultural show at the university and pledged a grant for the construction of a new student hostel. The ceremony marked a significant step toward promoting higher education and technology integration at LUAWMS, empowering students to contribute meaningfully to the nation's progress.
